Heavy Duty Semi Trailers Equipment
A semi trailer is a trailer with axles placed behind the center of gravity of the vehicle (when the vehicle is evenly loaded) and it is a trailer equipped with coupling devices that can transfer horizontal and vertical forces to the tractor. Semi-trailer is generally a three-axle semi-trailer, which can be divided into 11-meter barn semi-trailer, 13-meter barn, low-flat semi-trailer and many other types. It is a heavy-duty transportation vehicle connected with semi-trailer head by traction pin.
Compared with the "single" vehicle, the semi-trailer can improve the comprehensive economic benefits of highway transportation. Transportation efficiency can be increased by 30-50%, cost can be reduced by 30-40%, and fuel consumption can be reduced by 20-30%. More importantly, the use of semi-trailers can also promote the organization of logistics to a certain extent.
Heavy duty semi trailers are used to load super-large and super-heavy goods. The basic form of heavy-duty trailer is single flat-panel trailer. It generally has the following structure. Frame and axle axles are mostly two axes in line, that is, there are two axles on one axis, also known as two axles. The common single flat-panel trailer has 2-7 axes. Four tyres are loaded on one axle, and eight tyres are on one axle. So the width of the whole car can be more than 3 meters. In order to reduce the center of gravity of the whole vehicle, steel radial wide rim tires (see automobile tires) with small diameter and large load capacity are generally installed. Each tire can bear about 4 tons of load at low speed. The frame is welded with high strength alloy steel box section. Usually a single flat trailer with five axes and two axles can carry more than 100 tons.
