Recently, the Ministry of Transport recently issued four replies to its official website on the recommendations of the Second Session of the 13th National People's Congress on “Improving the Law of Automated Driving Vehicles and Promoting the Application of Automated Driving Vehicles”.
The Ministry of Transport said that autonomous vehicles integrate modern information technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and next-generation mobile communications, and have a positive effect on improving traffic safety, improving travel and transportation efficiency, and reducing energy consumption and pollution emissions.
In April last year, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security and other departments have jointly issued the "Intelligent Network Linked Vehicle Road Test Management Regulations (Trial)" (hereinafter referred to as "Management Specifications"), currently more than 10 places in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, etc. According to the "Management Specifications", the implementation rules have been formulated, and more than 100 test licenses have been issued.
