Semi-trailer Use and Matters Needing Attention
A semi-trailer is a trailer whose axle is placed behind the center of gravity of the vehicle (when the vehicle is evenly loaded) and is equipped with a coupling device that can transmit horizontal and vertical forces to the tractor. Semi-trailers are generally three-axle semi-trailers, which are divided into 11-meter fence semi-trailers, 13-meter fence semi-trailers, and low-flat semi-trailers. It is a heavy-duty transportation vehicle connected with the semi-trailer head through a tow pin.
According to the classification, it can be divided into dump semi-trailer, low flat semi-trailer, fence semi-trailer, container semi-trailer, tank semi-trailer, van semi-trailer and so on.
Use of semi-trailer
Dump semi-trailers are mainly used to transport bulky goods, such as excavators, etc., which are bulky and difficult to disassemble; fence semi-trailers are more suitable for pulling fresh and live goods, such as vegetables, fruits.
Precautions for semi-trailers
1. When turning, pay attention to whether there are pedestrians or driving in the blind area of the viewing angle. Be sure to check your tires before you travel.
2. When reversing the fence semi-trailer, the direction is the opposite, so you should drive slowly and return slowly, and the range should not be too large, so that you should not panic when you see and hear all directions.
3. If you travel far, the necessary inspections of the fence semi-trailer include: half shaft screws, drive shaft screws, horns, lights, and tire pressure. These are the places where accidents are more likely to occur and need to be inspected.
4. Be careful not to move the steering wheel too much during driving, because the body of the fence semi-trailer is relatively long, and it may roll over when moving too much. Be even more careful when turning, try to make as much space as possible, otherwise the rear of the car will easily be thrown away.
5. Don't use the method of "leaving the brake first" for brake running-in. Although this can relatively reduce the impact on the engine when braking, it may cause danger, and once a habit is formed, it is even worse.
Finally, Ultraton Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd reminds everyone that during the running-in period of a new car, you should always check whether the oil, coolant, and battery electrolyte are sufficient, and you must add it in time if it is missing. After reaching the mileage specified by the manufacturer, go to the service station for the first inspection and maintenance of the vehicle, change the oil, filter, etc., and check the chassis system comprehensively. Completing the first guarantee means that the trailer has passed the running-in period smoothly, and can serve you better from then on.
