What is a Skeleton Semi Trailer？
The skeletal semi trailer is a kind of container semi-trailer frame, which can only be used to transport containers.
The skeleton semi trailer is welded by longitudinal beam, cross beam and front and rear end beams. The longitudinal beam is welded into I-shape by submerged arc welding of steel plate (the main dimensions are 450 and 500). The cross beam is stamped into groove by steel plate, and the front and rear end beams are welded rectangular section. In order to improve the bearing capacity of the container locking device, an integral long cross beam is set in the middle part of container locking device.
The whole frame is assembled and welded on a special positioning platform, with reasonable structure, high strength and beautiful appearance. A container tightening device is set on the frame, which can load two kinds of standard containers: 40 feet and 20 feet. The four container tightening devices at the front and rear end are fixed structures, and the middle container tightening device is a hidden structure.
When loading containers, the locking device of intermediate container can be lowered below the plane platform as required. Its function is to support the ground and bear the front load of semi trailer when the traction apparatus is separated from the trailer. There are two kinds of supporting devices: single-acting type and linkage type, which are mainly composed of support plate, screw transmission mechanism, reducer casing and control handle. There are three kinds of suspension devices: single-axle suspension, double-axle suspension and three-axle suspension with two sets of spare wheel carrier. The semi trailer is equipped with two sets of spare wheel carrier, which are respectively installed on the left and right sides of the trailer frame, and equipped with spare wheel lifter.
