Poor Idle Speed and Internal Leakage of Semi Truck Dump Trailers
1. Poor idle speed of semi truck dump trailer
The engine of the semi truck dump trailer works normally and should be able to run evenly within the speed range of 300 to 500r/min. If the minimum stable speed of the trailer engine exceeds this speed range, or the engine stalls or the speed is unstable within this speed range, it means no idling or poor idling.
When idling is poor, it can be divided into idling stall, unstable idling and excessive idling according to its fault characteristics. If the engine of a semi truck dump trailer runs well from low speed to high speed after it is started, but it turns off as soon as the accelerator pedal is released, or it runs unstable and then turns off, then it is an idling stall failure.
If the engine of a semi truck dump trailer is not running smoothly at idle speed, and the exhaust pipe makes a "tu, tu" noise, it is generally a fault of unstable idle speed. If the minimum stable speed of the trailer engine is higher than the specified range, and the speed cannot be reduced, then the idle speed is too high or there is no idle speed fault.
2. Internal leakage of the semi truck dump trailer
The oil leakage in the semi truck dump trailer continues to cause the increase of heat from two aspects: the high pressure oil leaks through the damaged seal, which causes the oil temperature to continue to rise; due to the oil leakage, the hydraulic pump is bound to deliver more oil to ensure the pressure required for connecting the clutch to fully connect the clutch, which also requires the engine to continue to accelerate, so that the hydraulic pump produces greater flow.
Such a vicious cycle will eventually inevitably lead to the clutch overheating or burning, until it fails completely; disassemble the transmission control valve (assembled transmissions should be installed before the control valve), and then successively pass gas of 0.6 to 0.8MPa to each oil hole of the transmission. If a certain hole is filled with gas, and you hear a "bang" sound and there is no air leakage or the air leakage sound is very small, it means that the seal between the corresponding clutch piston and the cylinder barrel is good.
If the sound of the piston pressing the friction plate is not heard and the air leakage sound is loud, it means that the seal between the clutch piston and the cylinder barrel of the semi truck dump trailer has failed, and the seal should be replaced.
