Inspections and Usage Precautions of Driving Semi Trailers
Traffic accidents happen almost every day, especially in the transportation industry. Safe driving of dump semi trailers is the top priority of the career of drivers. If you do not develop the habit of checking before driving, it will cause safety hazards in driving.
In order to prevent problems before they happen, the dump semi trailer should be inspected every week or before each transportation including small parts such as tires, screws, legs, box hooks, box plates, sockets and so on. So what should we do?
1. How to maintain the semi dump truck regularly?
(1) First, check whether the tires of the semi dump truck are leaking, and whether the tires are not sufficiently inflated. Check whether there is any debris attached to the whole body of the tires, and observe whether the tire rims are deformed and whether there are cracks.
(2) In the inspection of the semi truck and trailer parts, attention should be paid to some details. The screws on the tires should be checked one by one to see if they are fastened. Don't be bothered to do it, because if on the road, the screw looses and drops, it will certainly cause an accident, when it is too late to regret. Therefore, be sure to tighten every screw on the tire.
(3) Shake up the outriggers of the dump semi trailer to check for cracks. At the same time, the outriggers should be shaken for a few more times. Also check the tightness of nuts and bolts to avoid tire eating.
(4) Touch the box hooks, box plates, sockets and other small parts of the dump semi truck with your hands for cracks, and check whether the lights are damaged. Start the dump semi truck, check whether the barometer is normal, test whether the brakes are working, and listen for air leaks.
2. Notes of using dump semi trailer
(1) It is strictly forbidden to weld anything on the beam without professional guidance, otherwise it will cause the beam to break and sag;
(2) It is strictly forbidden to modify the air circuit of the trailer without permission before using the dump semi trailer;
(3) When a welding water tank is installed on a new car, the power of the tractor must be turned off;
(4) Before using the new trailer, check whether the tire pressure of the dump semi truck is at the specified value to avoid abnormal tire wear;
(5) After the tractor and the dump semi trailer are connected, it is necessary to check whether the main engine traction seat and the trailer traction pin are tightly connected;
(6) After the tractor and the semi trailer are connected, if the light signals are inconsistent, the sequence of the seven-core helix thread of the tractor should be adjusted in time;
(7) Before using a new trailer, check whether the axle tire screws are tight;
(8) After the tractor and the dump semi trailer are connected, the braking effect of the vehicle must be checked;
(9) After connection, you must check the air circuit and relay valve, and whether the ABS valve is leaking;
(10) If the warehouse rails and doors of the dump semi truck can be opened outwards, please pay attention to whether the handles have locked the warehouse rails and doors, so as to avoid accidents caused by the opening of the doors on the road.
